6 Month "Birthday"

(actually, it's Gilda posting... )
OK OK, I know that 6 months is not really a "real birthday"... but really, it's a big deal! What a time to look back and reflect... to see how much E has grown and become... not to mention us as parents have "grown" and "become" also. Whew... what a ride! It's also so amazing. Children are miracles.

Therefore, in celebration of the 6 month birthday (which will be Friday, the 27th)... here's a fliptrack video that I put together for all our family and friends. This was a fun (and easy... who would have thunk it) program to use.. the quality is not bad.. and it was free! (we like free and it makes up for any "weird" shots) Anyways... enough of my jabber - Enjoy!!

BooHoo

Boohoo boohoo, so we lost some very cute pictures that were posted on blogger... due to picture size (+3MB) and new(?) rules. I'm sorry I was lazy and didn't want to spend the time to "shrink" them in Photoshop and now Blogger decides the servers can't take it. Of course, this is after I've uploaded them and had them up for a week. So now, I gots to go back and hopefully (when I get time, when do I ever have that much time...) get the beautiful pictures back up. Sigh.... this blogging thing sure takes a lot of time, and I don't even do it that often.

Great Scotts... Catch That Baby

OK, this post title actually has two meanings...

The first - CONGRATULATIONS to Genna and Matt (and Abby too) of the Pearson Clan. They are now the Pearson Four! Yesterday their little "BBQ" was born, Noah Scott Pearson. How cute!

The second - Today E got up really early, coupled with the fact that I didn't sleep well and Ian had stayed up real late the nighht before playing a game... it made for a not so glorious morning. So then during breakfast while E played on the floor, the most amazing thing happened. All of a sudden I hear from Ian, "Yeah!! Good job!!" I turn to find out I had just missed seeing her turn over (tummy to back). "Ah man!" I'm thinking. But no, that's not the end of the story. Since I'm so bummed out, Ian promptly turns her back over and we try to see of she'll do it again. To make a long story short.. somehow I again miss her do it (I got up to finish breakfast because she didn't seem like she was interested in trying again).. so we turn her over again and finally I get to see her turn over from her tummy to back. It's quite interesting actually and makes her look like quite the contortionist. Of course, then when Ian is in the shower and I'm watching E still playing on the floor... I decide to see how much turning she really can do. So again on the back... I entice her one way, "flip", then entice her to turn from back to tummy (which I was pretty sure she could do, but just never had wanted to before), "flip", and for good measure enticed her to go one more time in the same direction back to her back, "flip". What a show!! She got lots of praises, kisses and hugs!

Now I just have to remember she can roll quite easily and not let her roll off anything (beds, couches, changing table, etc.) And no.. I haven't had to "catch her" falling off anything yet today.. but I'll be on the lookout. Oh and I suspect she will be crawling in about a month too, because in order for her to flip she has been bringing her legs underneath her body and propeling herself over. I don't know if that's how most babies flip over, but she manages to also push herself forward a bit... almost as if she's trying to crawl. It's amazing how babies learn and the "spurt of growth" that happens. Amazing!!

Ahh.. Why Not A Few More

I discovered a few more pictures I meant to post that never got posted (in the fury of activites this last month)... so now that I have a bit of time, here's a few more cute ones. Ok, actually I'm just procrastinating on working. Never the less, a few more for the online album which this blog is becoming.

These are pictures of E during her newish nighttime routine... a few books before bed. Hey, we got to start her love of books early (just hopefully not the eating and tearing of books, otherwise we'll have a very sad Daddy).

Easter Photo Shoot

Happy (belated) Easter, or as the church we visited on Sunday said - Happy Resurrection Sunday!

The Spencer Family - Easter Sunday

OK OK, I know a photo shoot is hardly the reason for Easter... and I'm sad to say we didn't have a very introspective or festive lent, passion week or even Easter day. Things just are so much harder with a little one. Hopefully though as we mature as parents (did you notice I didn't mention as E matures), we'll be better at really celebrating the true meanings of these important seasons and pass on to our child (and future other children) the good news of a new life in and with Christ.

For now ... all we got to was dressing E up and having a mini photo shoot in the morning before church. At least we're doing well on enjoying the growing up of our baby girl (who will not always be so small, sigh). So, enjoy the cutest pictures EVER! (we're biased of course, oh and a few of us... but we're not as cute as our little "Zeebo")
